This, has been driving me up the wall. i want a sleeve! at least one, but i cannot think of what to get, i wanted to get a Terry Pratchett book cover, cos the illustrations are cool, but i couldnt find a pic big enough that didnt have bits blocked out. so i thought, ok, maybe Biomech, but it would look out of place on me. plus a lot of people have biomech.so i thought, how about some kind of sleeve incorporating the nautical 'punk' stars which i have, since getting the ones on my wrists, fallen in love with, and some kind of smokey effect and bright colours and colours that went from one colour to the next smoothly. See, my tattooist, Bill Middleton of the Hornet Tattoo Studio, North Street, chichester, fantastic guy, love him to bits, the most careful hygeinist i've met, is a bit more of a traditionalist with his tattoos. if i want something a bit more modern and a bit, i dont know if controversial is the right word, maybe unorthodox, i have to have a design ready for him, his forte is not in designing such tattoos, although he designed the blue flames on my left wrist, and i couldn't be happier. So, my question is, where can i go to get a decent, modern kinda punky tattoo designed?
And also, i found a picture of a seriously cool elbow peice to go around the tip of my elbow and spread from that point, block black, kind off like a ring of black flames, anyway, i lost it. can't find it anywhere, so if anyone finds anything matching that description, i would be most grateful if u could post a picture of them!! Thank you for your time, and please comment...Taz |

The best thing to do is hunt down the artists in your town and look at their portfolios. If you can't find one in your town, pick up a tattoo magazine hunt down artists all over the country. Of course this means you'll have to vacation to their city when you want the work done, and most of them won't even consider making art work without having some money down up front (tghey'd be drawing for the world if they did.) Sleeves are big projects that'll require many sessions.
BTW - interesting choice of location for your nautical stars. http://ezinearticles.com/?Nautical-Star-Tattoos-the-History,-Meaning-and-Symbolism:-What-a-Strange-Mix!&id=67116 |
