My experience was fairly normal, except that I fell asleep while he was doing the outline on my shoulderblade. lol. I don't know what happened...I guess I was a bit too relaxed. He didn't know I fell asleep until he started singing really loudly to the music he had playing right in my ear, and I jumped 3 feet. Lucky for me, when I jumped, he was just cleaning up some of the ink and not actually doing my tattoo! I haven't ever fallen asleep during a session since...

prior to getting one, i always asked people that had them if they hurt.. n they were like nah, they dont hurt at all.. so i went into getting my first tat with the idea that they werent going to hurt.. first second he started tattooing i thought to myself 'HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT THE FUCK!'.. spent 35hours under that needle so far, most of them in the most painful places (inside part of the arm by the armpit, and chest) and still wanting more.. maybe a full upperbody suit.. well see

Was scared to get one becuase of some of the bad tattoos some friends of mine had gotten. OF Course-- they all said how painful it was. Finally got my first one done -- on the ankle area even-- I didn't think it was painful. It turned out great.
The moral to me is-- talk to the artist first -- if you aren't comfortable with them don't have them do the work-- you won't be happy and more likely to feel pain

OMG some of these stories really make me chuckle.....lol

When I got my 1st tat, which I got right on the tricept on the back of my arm, my tattoo artist said he did DMX's fake tattoo's for one of his movies, I couldn't help but laugh, kinda weird but never found out if it was true or not.
